We ended up not having the EEG until about 10 Friday morning. Here is Mason will all of her 'buttons'. The tech kept telling us that she was one of the best 3-year-olds she had ever given the test too.
During the test she got to have another popsicle. She loved that she got just about anything to eat at just about anytime she wanted it.
The results of the EEG showed a little slowness in the right back part of her brain. The neurologist said it could be because the test was done so soon after she had the seizure. The doctor told us that of the 10% of kids this happens to, 60% of those don't have another seizure. Of the 40% that are left, they will have more seizures in 3-6 months. If we make it six months, we are in the clear.
So right now, we just wait. We wait until May for an MRI, we wait until July for a follow-up appointment with the neurologist and we wait until September 19th to see if she will have another seizure.
We were released from the hospital at 6 Friday night. We were ready to be going. Cooks is a great place, but home is better. We met Gran and PaPa for dinner on the way home. When we got home, it was showers and bed for all of us. We were ready for both.
Thank you again for all of the thoughts, prayers and kind words during this time. It is comforting to us to know how many people have prayed for us and for those that have gone through the same unexplainable time with their kids.
Sarah I'm so sorry! We will be praying for Mason and yes I agree, she is the best 3 yr old ever. Much love to you guys!
